Offspring Detania Forever Hopeful
Born: 08-06-2002. Father: Detania Brett of Woodside, mother: Detania Cider with Rosie
Nicky and Bruno were visiting Great Britain in august 2002 and part of their holiday was to spend a few days with Angela. While visiting, Bruno fell blindly in love with this very lively, blue and white puppy. It was impossible for Nicky and Bruno to leave her behind, so when they left Angela to return to Naples, they had an extra passenger with them…Sfizio! Sfizio has a very sweet and loyal nature, loved by everyone and extremely intelligent and eager. She always wants to be the first and throws herself whole heartedly into everything she does…good and bad! She has now grown up and matured into an extremely educated and well behaved companion but as a puppy she was nicknamed the “Tasmanian Devil”, after the cartoon, because she was always getting into mischievous trouble and it was all done at top speed. She now puts all that speed and energy into her agility and obedience which can be demonstrated by the following results. Sfizio this year moved through the FCI agility classes in only 7 competitions. When she moved up to Agility 2 she competed in only 3 competitions, (the minimum number of competitions possible under FCI rules) placing herself each time, to move up immediately into Agility 3 FCI Agility 3 FCI Class 1 in obedience Detania MacJannet
Detania Macjannet or Enya or for those who read “Freedom of Spirit” In 1997 and 1998 “Tornado Andrew, a BC in the Med” arrived in Italy in April 1996. An extremely intelligent and vivacious puppy with the most generous and sweetest of natures. She soon started a long and extremely successful career in agility in September 1996. In Naples this was a period when agility and border collies in agility were an unidentified object. Despite these handicaps Enya soon won her way up to agility3 (the highest level in FCI agility), where she won some agility3 competitions, some open senior agility competitions and has some “Best of Agility Senior” wins to her name. Enya has also done some breed showing, being placed 3rd and each time she has received the FCI “excellent”. In December 2001 Enya was unfortunately retired in agility due to an injury but such was her desire to work that she started to train in obedience. In July 2002 she competed in her first ever obedience competition in Class 1 coming 2nd! Later that year she competed in her second competition and was placed 3rd. In April 2003 Enya competed in Naples and won her class with 189 points and moved up to class 2. In October 2004 she competed in her first class 2, coming 2nd (behind a future world cup team member, and also past member with another dog).
Unfortunately for those who live in Southern Italy there are very very few competitions. Enya has proven herself to be a fantastic working dog, giving her best in everything she does. She is generous, intelligent and has shown enormous character which has been commented on by many of her obedience judges. Above all Enya has been and is a great friend and loving companion to Bruno and Nicky who enjoy her company and is highly respected by all her competitors both in agility and obedience on the national circuit. Detania Rhian
Born: 14-08-1997. Father: Detania Poseidon, mother: Detania Jaicie
Detania Rhian or Rhea or again for those who have read “Freedom of Spirit” Calamity Jane, arrived in Naples, Italy in October 1997. She also did agility and moved up to Agility 2 in only 4 competitions and was in Agility 3 before the age of 3yrs and competed in very few competitions. Rhea has been placed in Agility 3 large, open senior and has some “Best of Agility”. In February 2003 Rhea was officially measured and passed into the medium classes where she is continuing to win at almost every competition. In May last year she picked up a reserve ticket in agility. Rhea has competed in breed showing 3 times. She was shown as a puppy the first time but the other times she was placed reserve and has two reserve tickets.Rhea also started obedience when Enya was retired from agility. She won her first competition and moved up to class 1.The following November she came 3rd. She is still continuing in her obedience training but her main love is agility. Rhea is an extremely affectionate dog; she is loving and loyal with a very good sense of humour and always brings a smile with her antics. Rhea is also extremely intelligent and will use it to find a way out of any room, garden or even cage so that she get to her owners, friends or people as just loves people. Every where she goes she makes friends and is wiggles her way into everyone’s hearts. Her intelligence and sensitivity is also noted when being with children, the elderly or disabled people and would make a very good pet therapy dog. Sh. Ch. Detania Panja's Flash
Born: 03-08-1996. Father: Detania Poseidon, mother: Detania Belinda Flash is a very nice and cool border collie with a very sweet character. He lives in Germany with Achim. In 1997 he did Begleithundeprüfung mit Schuß and started training for agility the same year. In 2001 he started Flyball as well, but Flash lives for agility, in 2000 he reached the topclass of agility in Germany (A3) and in 2001 he was invited for the German Agilitychampionships and the qualificationcompetition for the world championships, where he did very well. When Flash is not doing agility or flyball he likes to be a couchpotato. Flash was also entered for breedshows, where he did superbly, getting many first places and even one best in show. It was not surprising he became a German Junior Show Champion and German Show Champion. Ch/ObCh Detania Top Hat & Tails UDX
In October of 1995 Angela Gillespie sent two 4-month-old black and white Border Collie puppies from England (by way of Edna Wilkinson ) to the United States for Cathy Niles to pick one for herself. She kept them a week trying to decide which one she wanted to keep herself. About three days into trying to decide which one, Topper had already decided that Cathy was his person! He followed her every step. He would rip a lead out of anyone’s hand, if they tried to hold him, to get to her. So Topper actually picked Cathy and to this day he thinks she is his person. Topper loves to work. Anything Cathy asks him to do, he tries his best to do it. He loves to play ball, go for long walks or lie on the bed, just as long as they do it together. Topper is one of the most sucessful Border Collies in the United States. He has 22 best of breeds, was ranked 9th in Border Collies in obedience in 2000 and was invited to the American Kennel Club Dog Obedience Competition in 2000, where 128 of the top scoring all breed dogs in the country were participating. In 2001 Topper was ranked by the American Kennel Club 3rd in Border Collies and 17th in all breed in the country. Topper has been invited back to the American Kennel Club Invitational in 2002. Detania Arion

Lad is now retired from breeding and spends his time as a beloved pet. Detania Quidditch Gwyn
Born: 15-10-2001. Father: Detania Poseidon, mother: Detania Mead to Measure (Zena). Yvonne got this lovely little rascal when she was 8 weeks old. Gwyn was first picked up in England by Hetty van Hassel and then travelled to Germany the next day. Yvonne says this is the doggy she has always dreamt of. Gwyn is a very social, outgoing little girly and just knows her place in the household: topdog! Yvonne trains her in obedience, dogdancing and a little bit of agility. Gwyn had her first litter in 2004. Again a Detania bitch was a foundation for another kennel.
