Angela Robinson first met Angela Gillespie in 1974 at Woodbridge District Dog Training Club, where she was training her son's crossbreed dog. When Angela Robinson decided she wanted a BC, she bought her first Detania in 1977, she called her Detania Anna. As she had to be spayed after a pyometra, the next Border Collie stepped into the Robinson's household in 1983: Detania Kirsty. Kirsty produced Pondeboys Trudie to Angela Gillespie's Sekwef Boomer in 1986 and Angela Robinson was so pleased with the litter that she repeated the mating and produced three dogs, Angela Robinson kept one of them: Pondeboys Sonny (1990)

As Sonny had a wonderful temperament and was used at stud by Angela Gillespie. The first bitch he mated was Detania Wot Katie did and together they produced good natured offspring including two show champions and one dual champion in the States: Detania Top Hat 'N' Tails and Detania Blissful William.

Eventually Detania Macloude, a granddaughter of Pondeboys Trudie, and Pondeboys Sonny produced Pondeboys Macallum, who is Angela Robinson's current studdog.
